Presidential aspirant and Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has paid a courtesy visit to the titular leader of Muslims Dr. Prince Kasimu Nakibinge Kakungulu and briefed him about his political party, the National Unity Platform (NUP) and people power a political pressure group in the country.
In his remarks, Dr. Nakibinge applauded Bobi Wine for motivating and mobilizing youths and all Ugandans to participate in their country’s political activities.
“I call upon all capable Ugandans to come and take up various leadership positions in this country. I want to applaud Mr. Kyagulanyi for advocating for violence free electoral activities in this country and I urge him to continue with his activities,” he said at Kibuli.
He urged police and other security agencies to stop blocking opposition leaders from appearing on radio stations, and rallies among other campaigning avenues.
In tandem, he urged people to continue observing standard operating procedures (SOPs) peddled at curbing the spread of the deadly Covid-19 virus. “Covid-19 is real, if your doubting pleases follow what is taking place in other countries, the disease is killing people. Please wear facemasks, sanitize or wash hands and keep social distance,” he said
In his remarks Bobi wine applauded Mr. Nakibinge for a warm welcome and listening to their ideas as he has been doing to other political parties.
