The fallen East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) legislator and Director of Mobilisation and Cadre Identification at the ruling Party the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Mathias Kasamba will be accorded official burial.
The revelation was made by the NRM National Treasurer Rose Namayanja Nsereko during the organising committee meeting held at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Rubaga this Wednesday afternoon.
The former Ugandan legislator, who represented Kakuuto County for three terms in Parliament, passed on last evening at Nakasero Hospital.
Namayanja said Kasamba has been a sitting member of EALA, a Director at NRM Secretariat, a former MP and a citizen of high reputation, adding that these among others have earned him an official burial from the government.
In the same meeting, the National Treasurer further added that the Central Region CEC Member and State Minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi had been designated by the Government to Chair the Organising Committee.
Burial will be on Friday April 30th, 2021 at the deceased’s home at Katovu Village, Kakuuto County in Kyotera district at 4pm.

Wednesday April 28th:
Removal of the body from Nakasero Hospital to the Funeral Home.
Thursday April 29th
01:00 Pm: Body driven from Rubaga to Kyotera District.
04:00Pm: Church Service at Sanje Parish
06:00Pm: Arrival at the deceased’s home/ Vigil
Friday April 30th
10:00Am: Church Service at Katovu Town Council Ground.
04:00Pm: Burial at the deceased’s home.
