Centenary Bank has launched ‘Five for Five Jackpot promotion’ aimed at rewarding its customers for the continued uptake of its digital channels.
Speaking at the launch Mr. Fabian Kasi, the Managing Director of Centenary Bank said: “This new Transact and win campaign is another way Centenary Bank wishes to appreciate its customers for the continued uptake of its digital channels; CenteVisa, CenteMobile, and CenteAgents and to encourage them to continue transacting conveniently while staying safe and healthy.”
“We understand the hurdles that many Ugandans are enduring due to the current COVID-19 situation happening in Uganda that is why they came up with that reward program. We understand the need for safety measures, and it is with the stated facts that our digital channels are now the go-to option to safely transact without the worry of physical interaction,” he said.
In tandem, the bank partnered with Jumia, to provide their busy e-commerce platform to all bank customers to use their Visa and Mastercard cards to shop online and get rewarded for each purchase.
The CEO of Jumia Uganda Mr. Ron Kawamara said With the onset of Covid-19, online shopping has proved to be not just for convenience but crucial in keeping people safe as well.
“Starting today, customers can shop on Jumia and choose to pay using a centenary Visa or Mastercard. When you are a Centenary Bank customer, you get 10,000 off your order whether you are in Kampala, upcountry, or wherever. Jumia is proud to be part of this campaign with Centenary Bank, the bank that is closest to the people,” he said.
