“It is unfortunate that the police have tear gassed us. We had gone to deliver assorted medical and sanitary items to teenage mothers and other women who can’t afford mama kits, and beds to maternity ward,” she said.

“What hurt me most are the babies and the helpless mothers who were teargassed. We saw them washing baby’s faces. Uganda belongs to the people of Uganda not security personal who also can afford two meals a day,” she said.

Earlier this month, Barbie donated a number of assorted medical and sanitary items to Kasana Hospital and Nakikonge Health Centre IV as well as teenage mothers and other community members.
