Stars Times Falcons recorded sixth successive win in the Airtel National Basketball League at the Lugogo MTN Arena on Sunday.
Ariel Okall picked a game high 23 points, Joseph Ouma (19) while Stephen Omony also picked a double-double of (12) and (10) boards as Falcons recorded a 81-65 victory over Diamond in the Sun (DITS).
“Winning is a habit and it keeps the spirit of the team high” Falcons Head Coach Sam Obol said.
“We have so many new players thus there is need to gel while winning” he added.
Bernard Okuma and Emma Odngkhara top scored for DITS with (16) and (15) points respectively.
Joshua Etala meanwhile scored a game high 18 points for Stanbic Warriors who also had three other players, Brian Gumisiriza (15) Ronnie Kasewu (14) and Ronald Ssali (11) in double figures, as Warriors overpowered newly promoted Bush-court 91-43.
Meanwhile Innocent Odour (13), Joseph Wacha (12) and Brian Namake (11) double figures as last seasons’ finalists UCU Canons won 70-58 over OUR Saviour.
In the Ladies’ division; Purity Odhiambo led the way with (28) points and (13) boards aided by Vilma Awino (14) and Judith Nansobya (13) points respectively as UCU Lady Canons notched up a 67-45 win over Nkumba Lady Marines.
Florence Nyanyonga dropped a game high (31) points and (8) boards as KIU Rangers saw off Gladiators 72-52; Hoper Akello picked a team high (16) points for Gladiators.
