The Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) has lost one of its staunch members.
Party Vice President Patrick Mwondha has succumbed to cardiac complications at the Uganda Heart Institute in Mulago, where he has been hospitalized since December 28, 2015.
A politician, Mwondha served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukhooli North and also as a Deputy Minister for Local Government under the Obote II government, from 1980 to 1985.
Under the Museveni government he represented Bukhooli North in the Constituent Assembly (CA) in 1994.
Mwondha went to Busoga College Mwiri and Makerere University, where he obtained a degree in Statistics.
