KAMPALA: The chairman of the General Court Martial, Maj. Gen. Levi Karuhanga is admitted at Nakasero Hospital. This puts a number of cases including that of the incarcerated Gen. David Sejusa in jeopardy.
Gen. Karuhanga was admitted for illness not yet known this week but the army says he was improving and might resume work soon. The Court cannot sit in the absence of its chairman.
However, the army says all the court sessions have been suspended until the former commander of African Union troops recovers.
It’s not clear whether Gen. Sejusa who was supposed to appear before the court will be brought to court. The army says Gen. Karuhanga had gone for routine medical examination but was later admitted on the advice of the doctors.
