Uganda’s current top female artist and a deejay duo are taking on the African continent after getting their first nomination at the 11th Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
DJ Slick Stuart & Roja will face Africas best DJs in Africa after winning their first Buzz Teeniez Awards wickedest deejay award in Uganda. Sheebah has had a good music year so far with hits on the scene like Nkwatako and Wantama.
Sheebah was nominated in the best African Female Artist (Non Nigerian / Africa) category alongside Vannessa Mdee (TZ), Efya (GH), Lira (SA), MZ Vee (GH), Adiouza (SN), Victoria Kimani (KQ) and Knowless Butera (RW).
DJ Slick Stuart & Roja were nominated in the best African(Non Nigerian) DJs alongside DJ Lebbie (SL), DJ Bossman (LIB), DJ Mensah (GH), DJ Joe Mfalme (KQ) and DJ Vyrusky (GH).
The 2016 NEAs will be held on September 4th, 2016 in New York City, during the Labor Day weekend.
The Nigeria Entertainment Awards is an annual award ceremony with primary objective of recognizing the contributions of Nigerian and African Entertainers. The award ceremony, in its 11th year, is not only focused on recognizing Nigerian entertainers but also highlight Nigerians who continue to make an impact in our immediate communities in Nigeria or extended communities in the diaspora.
