Jennifer Musisi will lead to Museveni downfall – Tamale Mirundi

Must read

Acerbic-tongued former presidential spokesmen Joseph Tamale Mirundi has said that Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Jennifer Musisi Semakula will lead to the collapse of President Yoweri Museveni’s government.

Without explaining his reasons for making the unsubstantiated allegations, Mirundi was quoted as saying: “Jennifer Musisi is deceptive. Her ways may lead to the downfall of President Museveni.”

However, Mirundi’s utterances seem to suggest that Ms Musisi is hobnobbing with Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, an opposition politician, to the detriment of the sitting National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.

“What bonds Lukwago and Jennifer Musisi Kisekka market. They sold it to vendors but I hear Museveni is not happy,” he was quoted as saying while appearing on the NBS TV Morning Breeze talkshow.

Further, according to Mirundi, Ms Musisi is groping in the dark because she has been edged from the limelight by Kampala Minister Beti Olive Kamya.

“Jennifer Musisi should concede defeat to Beti Kamya; if they steal your bride, you don’t go looking for her in the tent,” he said chidingly, adding: “Jenniffer Musisi is acting the way she is because Betty Kamya has stolen her show.”

However, a source said that Mr. Mirundi is fond of attacking Ms. Musisi and Lord Mayor Lukwago because of an grudge he harbours against the two for allegedly ‘disorganizing’ his taxi business.

Meanwhile, known for his ferocious attacks against high profile public servants, Mirundi also said Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) boss had fallen on her own sword, and was now probably on a slippery slope at the tax body over the now infamous Shs6 billion ‘presidential handshake’.

“I remember telling you (NBS programme moderator) that the shillings six billion handshake will displace someone; Akol has been displaced,” he said.
