The 2nd Deputy Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Muhamad Ali Waiswa, has said Uganda and World Muslim Communities Council based in the United Arab Emirates are set to host the International Muslim Youth Conference.
The two day conference will be graced and officially opened by President Yoweri Museveni and in attendance will be the Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Ramadhan Shaban Mubajje and representatives from several African countries.
Speaking at Gaddafi National Mosque in Old Kampala, Sheikh Waiswa said the conference will be held under theme; Role of Muslim Youths in the Africa of tomorrow slated to take place from April 26 to 27th in Kampala.
According to Sheikh Waiswa the conference is peddled at raising awareness among Muslim youths about the significance of their role in the sustainable development of Africa.
He said countries which have confirmed their attendance include: Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Egypt, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Senegal, Mozambique and South Africa.
