The 2019/20 Total CAF Confederation Cup group stage draw has been conducted on Tuesday 12 November 2019 at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The draw was conducted by CAF Director of Competitions Samson Adamu assisted by Uganda’s football legend Edgar Watson and DR Congo’s former captain Herita Ilunga in the presence of CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, accompanied by FIFA General Secretary and general delegate to Africa Fatma Samoura and CAF executive committee members.
Egypt’s duet Al Masry and newcomers Pyramids will lock horns together in Group A, which also includes Mauritanian debutants Noadhibou and Nigeria’s Rangers.
Group B will see a Western derby between Mali’s Djoliba and Guinea’s Horoya, while South Africa’s Bidvest Wits and Libya’s El Nasr complete the pool.
Last season losing finalists RS Berkane of Morocco where Ugandan striker Patrick Kaddu plays, heads group C with DR Congo’s Motema Pembe, Zambia’s Zanaco and Benin debutants ESAE.
Group D has a Western derby that includes former African champions Enyimba of Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire’s San Pedro, and another Northern one between Algeria’s Paradou and Morocco’s Hassania Agadir.
Match day one kicks off on 1st December 2019.
