Ugandan international goalkeeper Jamal Salim Magoola has reported his current club, Al-Hilal of Sudan to FIFA over unpaid salaries.
Through his representatives Juan de Dios, Crespo Perez, Alfonso Leon and Gytis Rackauskas, the player wrote to FIFA head of player status Erika Montemor Ferreira. Jamal wants FIFA to force the Sudanese club to allow him terminate the contractual obligations between the two parties.
“Statement of claim against the Sudan football club Al-Hilal Sports Club before FIFA dispute Resolution chamber with regards to the present international employment related contractual dispute between the claimant and the respondent,” reads part of the statement.
“In connection with the unilateral premature termination of the employment contract with just cause for outstanding salaries pursuant to the provision of the article 14b is of the FIFA regulations on the status and transfer of players.”
Jamal joined Al-Hilal in 2018 from bitter rivals Al-Merrikh after almost four years with them.
The former KCCA FC and Express FC shot-stopper made his international debut for the Cranes in 2012 against South Sudan and has featured six times since then.
