After the Cranes team dropping out of the CHAN tournament in Cameroon, the players’ focus now shifts to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The league returns six days earlier than expected with two rescheduled fixtures to take place on February 6 and 9.
First, champions Vipers will host newly promoted MYDA on Saturday February 6 at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende before they visit six time champions Express FC at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
“The UPL Secretariat hereby reschedules earlier postponed match #8 Vipers SC Vs MYDA FC and match # 16 Express FC Vs Vipers SC as follows….,” reads part of the statement from UPL signed by CEO Bernard Bainamani.
The three teams Vipers, MYDA and Express are the only ones to have played less than five games when the league went into break.
Express sit 6th on the 16-team table log, Vipers are 8th while MYDA are 14th with 8, 7 and 1 point respectively.
Saturday 6th February 2021: Vipers SC Vs MYDA FC, St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende – 3:00pm.
Tuesday 9thFebruary 2021: Express FC Vs Vipers SC, Betway Muteesa II Stadium-Wankulukuku – 4:00pm.
