President Museveni has promoted Brigadiers James Mugira and Nakibus Lakara to major general.
Lakara, formerly the UPDF third division commander in eastern Uganda will move to somalia as Deputy AU force commander.
Brig Mugira, who was has been the chairman of UPDF Luwero Industries remains in his current position.
