The Uganda Rugby Cranes head coach Robert Sseguya named the national team to lock horns with the Sables of Zimbabwe on Saturday, 27 July 2019 at Legends Rugby ground, Kampal.
Twenty players were retained from the game against Kenya, plus three debutants. The debutants are Kelvin balagadde, Ivan Kabagambe and Farag Odugo.
Charles Uhuru will be sitting in for Brian Asaba as the assistant Captian who is injured.
The Victoria Cup is a rugby union tournament contested by the four African nations of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe as of 2019. After a seven-year hiatus, the competition was revived following Rugby Africa’s cancellation of the Africa Gold Cup in 2019 due to sponsorship loss.
The Cup is named after Lake Victoria in Kenya and Victoria Falls which were named in honour the reigning Queen Victoria and her great grandmother.
