Betway renews sponsorship deal with Express FC

Online gaming and betting company Betway has renewed its sponsorship deal with StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Express Football Club in a deal worth Shs420 million ahead of next season.

The deal was unveiled at a press conference held at Hotel Africana on Monday 16th November, attended by Betway Country Manager Adelle Agaba, Express FC chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka and Club CEO Isaac Mwesigye among others.

“We are going to continue supporting the players and technical team because it is our main focus as Betway. We are grateful for this partnership with Express FC, one of the biggest footballing clubs in the country.” Adelle said.

Betway Uganda will also cater for the gym where the Red Eagles will be able to work-out from all season-long.

“As Betway Uganda, we are going to make sure Express FC has access to gym training throughout the season to help them keep fitness,” Adelle added.

Kiryowa Kiwanuka said; “We are very honored to have real support for the past three seasons, and in Betway, Express FC has a very good friend.”

The club chairman also revealed that they have secured Wankulukuku Stadium to host their home games for next season.

“We have managed to get access to Wankulukuku Stadium exclusively for this season and I think this is a very big milestone for the club,” Kiryowa confirmed.

Betway will appear on the matchday jerseys, training Kits, and their stadium known as ‘Betway-Mutessa II stadium, Wankulukuku’.

At the same event, the new Express FC kit to be used for the upcoming campaign was officially launched. The Umbro designed kit will include the home kit (Red), away kit (white) and third kit (black).

“We held a kit design competition and the winner was a gentleman from Morocco and it shows you how far the club goes, it’s original and all Express FC.” Club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa said.

The 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season is scheduled to kick-off on 3rd December.
