Mbale Heroes Football Club head coach Hussein Ali Kheri has died, the club announced on Wednesday morning.
Kheri had been sick and admitted in Mbale regional referral hospital over heart problems for almost a week where he passed away last night.
“It is with deep sorrow and profound shock that I announce the untimely passing on of our Head Coach, Mr. Hussein Kheri,” said the Chairman of Mbale heroes FC, Mr Wycliffe Mwambu.
“Coach Kheri has been with us for a period of close to 3 months having joined us at a time when we needed him most.”
“He managed to bring his football passion to Mbale Heroes which he has handled very well till his death. We will miss him as a person and most importantly his love to mentor and raise football stars,” Mr Wycliffe Mwambu said.
“I have no doubt that the void left by his demise will be very difficult to fill. We implore all our supporters, fans and football lovers to stand with us and his family at this trying moment. Rest in eternal peace Coach Hussein Kheri,” he added.
