Speke Resort Munyonyo has unveiled its 2026 Christmas and New Year holiday package, offering single-room accommodation starting at Shs584,000 ($139) per night alongside festive dining, live music, fireworks and family entertainment.
The package, dubbed, ‘The Grand Festive Getaway’ will run from December 18, 2026, to January 3, 2027, with the lakeside resort targeting families, couples and holidaymakers seeking accommodation and entertainment during the festive season.
Under the offer, guests will pay Shs584,000 ($139) per night for a single room during December 18 to 23, December 26 to 30 and January 1 to 3, 2027. Rates for the peak dates of December 24, 25 and 31 have been set at Shs740,000 ($176) per night.
The resort has lined up four major celebrations, beginning with Christmas Day on Friday, December 25, when guests will be treated to an Around the World Christmas Lunch Buffet, live band performances and DJ entertainment.
The Christmas programme will also feature a children’s carnival, Christmas evening dinner and a kids’ movie night, while younger guests will have an opportunity to visit the petting zoo and take part in the resort’s pony-pampering experience.
In its promotional message, the resort invited families to experience a combination of accommodation, dining and entertainment during the holidays.
“Celebrate the festive season with The Grand Festive Getaway and experience the perfect blend of relaxation, exceptional dining and family entertainment,” the resort said.
The celebrations will continue on Saturday, December 26, with a Boxing Day Bubbly Brunch, live band performances and a buffet lunch. Children will enjoy another carnival, movie night and visits to the petting zoo, with the pony-pampering experience also featuring on the programme.
For New Year’s Eve on Thursday, December 31, the resort has organised a special bash featuring a New Year’s Eve dinner, live band performances, DJ entertainment and fireworks as guests welcome 2027.
The following day, Friday, January 1, guests will be treated to a New Year’s Bubbly Brunch accompanied by live music and a New Year’s Day Kids Bonanza. The programme will also feature DJ entertainment, a kids’ movie night and visits to the petting zoo.
The resort added that its holiday package is designed to give guests an opportunity to spend quality time with their loved ones while enjoying its hospitality and recreational facilities.
“From comfortable accommodation and festive dining experiences to live entertainment and exciting kids’ activities, make the most of the holiday season and create lasting memories with your loved ones,” the resort said.
The latest package builds on Speke Resort Munyonyo’s previous festive season offerings, which have combined accommodation with Christmas-themed dining, children’s activities and year-end entertainment.
During the 2025 festive season, the resort introduced *The Ultimate Year-End Escape*, offering single-room accommodation at $139 during selected dates and $179 on peak Christmas and New Year’s Eve dates.
That programme featured an Around the World Christmas Lunch Buffet, live entertainment, a children’s carnival, pony-pampering activities, visits to the petting zoo, a Boxing Day Bubbly Brunch and a New Year’s Eve celebration with fireworks.
The resort also held its Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in November 2025, featuring a live choir, an opportunity for children to meet Santa Claus, a movie night and Christmas tree decorating activities.
Beyond its seasonal celebrations, Speke Resort Munyonyo has established itself as a major hospitality and leisure destination in Uganda, with accommodation overlooking Lake Victoria, multiple restaurants and bars, swimming pools, a spa, an equestrian centre and a marina offering boat experiences.
The resort’s facilities also include conference and event venues, making it a destination for both leisure and business travellers.
